Brokerage-Onboarding-Management

Inextricably Intertwined

Inextricably Intertwined means something is so closely connected to something else that it cannot be separated.…..it cannot be considered individually. It suggests a deep and inseparable connection. In aircraft ownership, the stages of acquiring, onboarding, and then managing that aircraft are all inextricably intertwined. One cannot be separated from another without the detriment of all. A rewarding aircraft operation must take many factors into consideration, beginning with the very first steps in the acquisition process.

It is precarious to hire an acquisition broker, then an outside onboarding firm, then hire flight crew, and then somebody else to manage the aircraft. With Compass Air and Logistics, we streamline the process from start to finish by brokering, onboarding, and managing your aircraft. It is in your (and our) best interest to ensure an aircraft will meet your needs for as long as you intend to own it.

  • Will the aircraft complete your mission year-round with forecasted weather?

  • Are parts and required avionics upgrades going to be available beyond the date you intend to sell the aircraft?

  • Are available pilots insurable on your aircraft?

There are a myriad of safety and operational factors that must be considered during an aircraft purchase that then become the responsibility of management after the initial purchase. When Compass Air & Logistics brokers an aircraft on your behalf, we also ensure it will meet your needs for the entirety of ownership.

Why Compass Air?

-Combining the finest aspects from the largest and most prestigious world-wide management organizations-

With a background in business and 30+ years in aviation, we have taken the best aspects from the largest and most prestigious management organizations in the world. Experience in flight management operations in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, China, and the USA, and completing major projects on behalf of premier organizations.

-A boutique business that is hands-on and connected to your aircraft-

You need highly competent people directly connected to your aircraft on a daily basis. This ensures we stay ahead of your needs and minimizes the potential for the unexpected, be it upcoming inspections, regulatory changes or any of the myriad of factors that can affect your operation.

-The only company performing direct crew observation and training-

We fly with or observe every single one of our pilots on a periodic basis either during flight missions or during flight simulator training events. This ensures the utmost confidence in your flight crew’s proficiency not just in general, but also with your specific mission.

-Highly efficient-

By charging a fixed monthly management fee, we guarantee zero ongoing commissions, maintenance cost markups, fuel program markups, crew cost markups or anything else. You receive one statement each month which includes all receipts associated with line items on the statement. Further, with the constant volatility of the pilot market, if for any reason a management pilot leaves an account you can continue to fly without skipping a beat.

  • Find the best fit on or off-market aircraft based on current and future operational factors.  Your home base, mission, and budget are only the beginning of a much larger equation

  • Ensure parts and required avionics upgrades will be available beyond the date you intend to sell the aircraft, as this substantially affects resale value

  • Ensure the insurability of crew on open and named pilot policies, if supplementing crew with contractors, ensure available crew not only safe but also insurable

  • Sales tax exemption, comply with state sales tax delivery and exempting procedures including filing the correct forms on time with applicable state(s)

  • Calculate performance limitations, aircraft range with passengers and winds, seasonal takeoff performance based on forecasted temperatures and weather, to ensure your aircraft does what you expect it to
